Rescue Cushions are used for life-saving when fire-fighting ladder escape vehicles are not available or cannot be deployed because of space restrictions, for instance in the narrow streets of old towns.
The self-erecting supporting frame consists of coated fabric. The cover is made of a special, hardly inflammable, tear-proof and rot-proof material. The compressed-air cylinder is located in a protective pocket at the base of the supporting frame.
Only two people are necessary to set up the Rescue Cushion. The supporting frame and the actual Rescue Cushion is inflated ready for service in less than 40 seconds. After a jump the Cushion is recovered within 7 seconds ready for the next jump.
